Chevron Corporation Emergency Management and Security Specialist in Ames, Iowa
Chevron is accepting online applications for the position Emergency Management and Security Specialist through 4/4/2023 at 11:59 p.m. (CST).
The Emergency Response and Security Specialist is responsible for emergency response and security processes, including the planning and execution of activities to support BU activities. This position will oversee emergency response and security activities within the BU. Develops, coordinates, and/or delivers training for emergency response and security within the BU. Must communicate well both to Chevron and regulatory agencies. Trained and knowledgeable in Incident Command System (ICS) and applicable government regulations. Plans and coordinate drills for the BU as well as support planning and drills for the manufacturing locations. This position reports to the Director, Health and Safety.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Implement the Chevron Security of Personnel and Assets and Emergency Management Process
Network/liaise with Chevron Global Security and Facility Security Officers and Emergency Response Advisors
Implement the Chevron Security of Personnel and Assets and Emergency Management Process
Serve as a security SME for the business unit.
Serve as Crisis Management Advisor to support crisis management, emergency response and business continuity plans and activities.
Conduct and coordinate training for emergency response and security processes.
Required Qualifications :
Minimum of 5 years of related work experience
Demonstrated knowledge in emergency response.
Experience in coordinating emergency preparedness activities and drills.
Competence in security regulations and compliance programs for processing facilities.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively to accomplish common goals such as the development of EM plans and security plans.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related discipline is preferred but not required.
Working knowledge of Emergency Management and Security regulations.
Ability to plan and facilitate exercises and drills.
Experience preparing emergency management and security plans.
Experience with ICS by serving in Incident Command and/or General Staff positions.
Oral and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
