Chevron Corporation Associate Packaging Engineer in Bangkok, Thailand
Chevron Thailand is accepting online applications for the position of Associate Packaging Engineer located in Bangkok, Thailand through 8 December 2021 at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time).
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Assists Packaging Engineer in the design and specification of packaging materials and handling requirements related to packaging material in the Integrated Supply Chain, with a focus on opportunities in Asia, the Middle East, and Europe.
Maintains Specifications as developed and coordinates among proprietary and contract plants to ensure that specifications are met. Maintains packaging Bills of Material (BOMs) for the network.
Supports efforts for quality monitoring and assurance processes with packaging suppliers across the network. Coordinates supplier corrective actions across the network and leverages the Procurement group as necessary to manage supplier quality issues.
Plans smaller scale projects related to packaging implementation in conjunction with, marketing, suppliers, and procurement, plant and network engineers. Assists in business case input for development of capital requirements needed by packaging changes and provides input to packaging project plans.
Conducts packaging and shipping validations based on protocols and parameters developed by Packaging Engineer and assists in training of packaging supervisors and operators in proprietary plants on packaging material and equipment, to include quality monitoring and reliability.
Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline is required (Packaging, Industrial, Mechanical, or similar)
The applicant should have 5 or more years or packaging-related design experience.
Background in graphic design is preferred or desirable.
Relocation will not be considered within Chevron parameters.
