C hevron is accepting online applications for the position of Associate Pricing Analyst located in Bangkok, Thailand through 15 August 2022 at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time).
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Pricing M a na g e m ent and Compliance:
Execute pricing tactics focused on maximizing revenues and consistent with business plan objectives
Recommend strategic price moves to maximize revenue in alignment with business plan objectives by proactively monitoring profitability components (market price, freight, forex, discounts) of all lubricant accounts. Share insights and recommendations with sales managers and supply chain team for prompt pricing actions
Lead all pricing activities within the country including meetings with external/internal customers, manage and tracks price floors on a per SKU basis to improve under-performing SKUs with sales team.
Drive accuracy and timely price deal submissions through Deal Manager tool with sales team and approvers
Mentor sales teams within country to ensure CVX pricing controls are maintained and all policies and regulations are understood and acted upon
Coordinate with all price changes to be completed in compliance to all SOX requirements (proper approvals and documentation) and in-country validation process (pre and post price change validation).
Act as internal auditor to ensure rebate is paid upon condition set forth in ADL and DFM
Market Area and Price Groupings:
Streamline pricing among all market sectors (B2C/B2B) to maximize competency in all territories for CVX distributors, optimize CVX enterprise margin and maximize 3rd party sales volume
Maintain all CID/MDT customer price groups within B2B market sector to ensure CVX customers are priced at the most competitive level to optimize CVX enterprise margin and maximize 3rd party sales volume
Competitive and external analysis:
Monitor competitive activity in the region. Understand the implications/impacts of external environment changes (political, economic, social and commercial) on the business to enhance the unit’s decision making
Maintain the system of monitoring CVX pricing and product costs relative to ICIS, benchmarked regional crudes & base oils and additives supply situation
Pricing Data Administration for Deal Manager (DM)/ Profit Analyzer (PA) and SAP Pricing Maintenance
Approve and validate all customer master data changes and creations for both B2C/ B2B channels
Maintain and update all pricing policy tables in Profit Analyzer tool as needed
Act as the SME for all Price and Margin Management System related issues and ensure Deal Manager is functioning as designed by working closely with Global and Regional Pricing teams to address any concern
Coordinate and work with technical group to maintain and manage product codes, pack size, product name , SAE grade and ensure price list for all SKUs in SAP are correctly applied in a particular customer
Assist in implement ing changes in business information systems as required – e.g. material substitution for promo items and new product code in SAP
Maintain and update the pricing sharepoint site to ensure all relevant documents (approvals and process documentations) are posted and communicated to related stakeholders e.g. marketing, supply chain, sales
Maintain all export price setup to every opco including third party selling price e.g. Caltex Australia
Conduct Annual Physical Asset Verification (PAV)
Conduct PAV to align with regional guidelines and within deadline.
Ensure that that there is no exception in the PAV process, annual and continuous clean-up are required
Handles completeness of SAP adjustment to reflect appropriate asset location. Damaged and phantom assets are written-off appropriately. Write-off should be for inactive accounts and not active.
Pricing Analysis and Product Planning
Derive pricing formula for different customers based on product mix and coordinate with regional pricing to ensure pricing strategy is aligned with other countries across the region
Provide sound evaluation of financial metrics changes based on the submitted deal per SKU / per Customer to sales managers for effective business decision making to maximize CVX enterprise value
Perform self-assessment on rebate programs to shorten turnaround time, streamline the process, boost accuracy, and meeting compliance requirements
Prepare and validate all supporting documents for new product registration with Ministry of Energy (MOE)
Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports i.e. Daily Stock report, Production Plan Report and Product Cost Report to drive sales decisions
Act as gatekeeper to maintain Product Catalog Management (PCM) to support online catalog for Chevron Business Point (CBP), rebates and cash discount conditions
Lead implementation of pricing sales tools such as MOS (Management Operating System), LFT (Look Forward Tool) and Wave analytics to enable sales capability to make effective business decisions
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree preferable in business administration or related area
At least 5 years of experiences preferable in pricing, financial analysis or sales strategy
Strong business acumen preferable with Retail products or FMCG industry background
Strong analytical skills, strategic planning, leadership skills, presentation skills
Strong computer literacy e.g. advanced MS excel, SAP, Power BI
Have experience in compliance audit such as SOX will be an advantage
Good communication skills in both Thai and English (spoken, writing, listening and reading)
