C hevron Thailand Exploration and Production, Ltd. is accepting online applications for the position of Category Specialist located in Bangkok, Thailand through October 18, 2024 at 11:59 pm Thailand time.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Oversee the end-to-end contracting process
Prepare contract terms and conditions using the approved contract model
Recommend various compensation methods and differences in spend channels
Prepare bid packages for service contracts , facilitate bid meetings, conduct bid clarifications, and respond to inquiries during the bidding process
Conduct cost comparisons, evaluate impact on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and recommend appropriate actions
Lead and/or participate in contract technical and commercial negotiations
Develop contracts and obtain all necessary approvals for contracts execution
Provide guidance to users in contracting policies, processes, procedures, guidelines, and best practices
Manage contract issues and claims
Ensure all activities compliance with local law and company policies
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering or related field is preferred
At least 3 years of experience in contracting or purchasing is preferred
Strong communication, writing, listening and presentation skills in English
Proficient in use of eProcurement, Internet-based programs, Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office software
Contracting experience, especially in the Oil & Gas Industries is desired
Good teamwork with a sense of urgency
Technical knowledge with ability to identify and report non-compliance cases.
Innovative, strong problem-solving skills, and ability to lead change
Ability to manage multiple contracting activities simultaneously, supporting both onshore/offshore operations
Good planning and coordination skills
Good presentation skills with ability to develop business case (justifications )
