Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production, Ltd is accepting online applications for the Lead Exploration Geophysicist position located in Bangkok, Thailand.
This position is responsible for technical support for the ramp-up of G2/65 activities and base business work such as Reservoir management studies, Reserve QRE and technical supports special development projects.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Regional-to-prospect level evaluation, play and petroleum system analysis, prospect generation & maturation. Formulate drilling portfolios including key prospects, their strategic impacts, associated risks and contingency plans.
Provide subsurface support to exploration & delineation drilling and execution including optimizing well location, trajectory, and well documentation.
Be able to effectively communicate their findings and recommendations to a wide range of stakeholders, including exploration teams, government agencies, and other technical and non-technical personnel.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and the ability to manage budgets, schedules, and personnel are also essential for this role.
As a senior-level professional, the Senior Exploration Geophysicist is expected to have extensive experience and a proven track record in exploration geophysics, as well as a deep understanding of industry best practices and trends which will be able to mentor younger earth scientist in the team.
Familiar with Chevron workflow and process is a plus
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
10+ years of experience with Geology, Geophysics, Petroleum Geoscience
