The International Downstream Accounting (IDA) department provides financial services for Chevron Downstream & Chemical operations and other Corp. functions located in Latin America, U.S. and Europe.

International Downstream Accounting has an opening for the position of “Banks, Contracts and U.S Accounts Payables Team Lead”.

In this position, you will have the opportunity to:

Main responsibilities of the position are:

  • Resource management: work group consists of 10 direct reports. As a leader you will facilitate career development discussions, delegate tasks, and develop employees, ensuring team members are properly trained to effectively perform assigned activities.

  • General oversight of team activities: Accounts Payables & Treasury, Bank Reconciliation and Contracts.

  • Review and sign-off general ledger reconciliations prepared by direct reports.

  • Lead special projects as directed by department management.

  • Act as a Liaison with other Finance Leaders.

  • Drive results thru metrics generation and monitoring.

  • Participate in Leadership team decisions and Personnel Career Development Committees.

Required Qualifications:

  • +10 years of experience in Accounting/Finance roles

  • Prior Supervisor experience.

  • English level: Intermediate-high or above

  • Bachelor's degree: Accounting or Business Administration.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP & MS 365 (Power Query, Power BI) knowledge is preferred.
