The Chevron Business Support Center located in Buenos Aires (Puerto Madero), Argentina, is accepting online applications for the position of Procurement Business Analyst. Successful candidates will join the Procurement Shared Services Center, which is part of a successful multifunction service center with a workforce of more than 500 employees that delivers business services and solutions across the globe since 2006.
Business Analytics, within the procurement function, provides analysis to enable data-driven decisions while building fluency across the organization.
Business Analysts work closely with business partners and suppliers from each business unit around the globe.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Serve as an internal consultant within the Procurement / Supply Chain Management function. Interact frequently with company streams, business units, and categories. Responsible for providing the following to various customers:
Internal and external research studies including market analysis, cost modeling, forecasting, and actionable intelligence.
Data and process analysis on key supply markets including industry analysis and supplier analysis related to global economic activity, labor conditions, raw material costs, and upstream and downstream market trends.
Development and maintenance of forecasts, models, and tools to support purchases, contracts, and sourcing decisions.
Provide reliable, high-quality analytical support to enable Procurement/Supply Chain Management's ability to achieve a sustainable competitive advantage for Chevron:
Utilize business analytics to deliver results in line with the strategy of the supported team.
Drive continuous improvement of processes including partnering with Digital team on automation opportunities.
Apply critical thinking to identify value-driven opportunities for change.
Demonstrated experience performing BA core responsibilities: analytical work relating to spend, financial, business, supplier analysis, and/or analysis based on the Analytical Skills selection criteria.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or Business.
Advanced English level.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and visualize data using advanced Excel functions (including Pivot Tables, macros), PowerPoint, Power BI, Spotfire, and other Data Modeling tools.
Demonstrated expertise in analyzing situations/data with multiple outcomes, deriving insights and value drivers to inform good business decisions, and making recommendations to key stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to clearly convey concepts and objectives through verbal and written formats via technical reports and presentations, to wide audiences both internally and externally.
General business experiences with proven ability to understand economic cases/trends and link insights to Supply Chain Management business strategies and plans.
Ability to build and/or leverage decision analysis tools (strategy and consequence tables, economic modeling, lease vs. buy, etc.) to support efficient and effective decision making.
Demonstrated ability to work in a proactively communicate in a team setting.
If not experienced in the O&G industry, candidate will have proven ability to discern and understand economic cases and trends.
Supply Chain Management Degree or Certification.
Market Intelligence experience in energy or other industry.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively in multi-discipline, multi-cultural environments.
Ability to act as a team player and demonstrate leadership behaviors with minimal supervision.
Volunteers time and knowledge to assist others and values each person’s skills, experiences, and perspectives.
