The Chevron Business Support Center (BASSC) located in Buenos Aires (Puerto Madero), Argentina, is accepting online applications for the position Lead Software Engineer. Successful candidates will join the IT Engineering function which is part of a successful multifunction service center with a workforce of more than 1300 employees delivering business services and solutions across the globe.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineer Technical Lead to join our team at the Buenos Aires Shared Services Center (BASSC). The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for driving innovation and excellence in software development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, providing technical guidance and support.

  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of software solutions.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and deliver high-quality software products.

  • Ensure adherence to best practices in software development, including coding standards, testing, and documentation.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the development process.

  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends and apply them to improve our software solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Software Engineer Technical Lead or similar role.

  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as .NET, C#, JavaScript, Angular or React.

  • Experience with database management systems, including SQL and NoSQL databases.

  • Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure.

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

  • Mobile development experience.

  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
