Chevron Canada Resources is actively seeking a Construction Tech to join our Facilities Engineering team. This position is based in Calgary, Alberta, and will report to the Facilities Construction Lead. The incumbent will be responsible for managing the technical aspects of earthworks construction activities for the Kaybob Duvernay field.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Participate in scout/survey planning of all earthwork projects
Participation in design of earthworks projects; lease, access, bridges, water course crossings
Construction Contracting Plan
Cost Control and benchmarking
Performance Improvement (PI) initiatives, evaluate processes and procedures, monitoring industry best practices and emerging trends
Participate in the preparation of Project Execution Schedules
Integrated Scheduling, interface with drilling completions, operations and facilities
Participate in the Civil operational meetings
Provide recommendations to improve and streamline operations and reduce costs
Responsible for final handover from earthworks to operations
Manage material procurement
Provide technical support to the onsite construction supervisors
Skills and qualifications:
Environmental/Civil Technical diploma or Engineering degree
5 – 7 years related experience preferably Operational
Strong knowledge of Earthworks quality control
Strong computer skills, including experience with Excel
Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
Experience with Siteview would be preferred
Contracting planning and cost management
Experience in upstream oil and gas
Must have a methodical and well-organized approach to the work environment and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships within and outside the FE function.
Self-motivated and able to influence and motivate others
Experience working in a team environment, team player
Valid Drivers License required
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
Relocation will not be considered within Chevron parameters.
