The Lubricants Plant Operator works as part of a group of operators responsible for operations of the lubricants manufacturing plant. Plant operations include tasks such as tank field operation, blending lubricants, shipping and receiving bulk trucks and railcars, operating package filling lines and warehouse inventory and loading operations.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Works as part of a group of operators responsible for operations of the lubricants manufacturing plant, which include tasks such as tank field operation, blending lubricants, shipping and receiving bulk trucks and railcars, operating package filling lines and warehouse inventory and loading operations.
Actively support Health, Environment, and Safety (HES) processes by accomplishing daily activities within applicable regulations and policies, carrying out duties in an environmentally conscious manner, following safe operating practices, maintaining a safe working environment, participating in Loss Prevention System and being prepared to respond to an environmental or safety event.
Ensure all work performed adheres to Chevron's Operational Excellence (OE) standards and regulatory and code requirements.
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Valid driver’s license
Good working knowledge of a manufacturing and warehousing plant operation. This includes basic knowledge of product manufacturing, transfers, shipping and receiving products/materials and maintaining inventories.
Basic knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and an aptitude for learning new software packages including SAP.
Ability to perform basic mathematics and reasoning skills
Must be able to gain certification to operate a forklift and other mobile equipment.
1 or more years operations experience in a Lubricants or Chemical manufacturing plant or minimum 3 years Military experience working with lubricants and fuels.
Familiarity with variety of safety, environmental and reliability efforts (such as but not limited to: LPS, Human Performance, RCA, 5-Why).
Relocation will not be considered within Chevron parameters.
Expatriate assignments will not be considered.
