Ensures the appropriate movement of people, materials, equipment by all modes of transport to support the needs of the business and customers. Includes defining movement support strategies and associated operating models; ensuring continued connections with business partners for movement demand planning; managing, enabling, and improving internally supported movement processes; identifying and selecting external suppliers and assuring their performance; and managing related support infrastructure such as shorebases, heliports, airports, technologies, etc.

Chevron Belgium is accepting online applications for the position of Supply Planner Europe located in Ghent, Belgium .
As part of International Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), the Supply Planning and Operations Specialist Contract Plants team for EAMESA (Europe, Africa, Middle East and South Asia) manages the supply planning activities for all procured raw materials and all finished products, either manufactured or procured, in its network. Further included is the management of the relationship with third party contract plants as well as raw material suppliers.
As a key member of the Supply Chain S&OP team, this role will be responsible for the supply planning processes. The position of Supply Planner is a highly visible role that works cross functionally with all the departments across Chevron.
Key responsibilities are:
Develops Supply plans related to the European Manufacturing Network. Including Collaborative planning with suppliers, developing Forecasts for Suppliers and contract manufactures.
Works collaboratively using Sales and Operating Planning process throughout the whole Chevron Lubricants organization in order to enhance the focus on opportunities with greatest impact in region.
Works closely with the Planner, Distributive Area EAMESA to ensure pro-active planning methodology and continually seeking out opportunities to improve supply chain performance primarily through lower costs or improved reliability.
Quickly identifies and communicates current and future inventory issues and develops sound recovery plans.
Is responsible for successfully implementing Change within portfolios without negatively impacting OTIF nor Inventory positions in a multi-echelon network while ensuring obsolete stocks are minimized or avoided.
Validates Production & Distribution plans to ensure they are realistic and are based on demand plans, safety stock requirements, plant capability and availability of raw materials.
Ensures all Supply Planning system core master data is maintained to enable focus on real supply issues.
Support the creation of capacity plans based on the latest demand to identify where there are potential bottlenecks or risks to supply and to develop and recommend appropriate proposals to mitigate and to ensure that the plant or 3rd party can meet the future demand.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor / Master degree in Business, Logistics, Finance or relevant fields
3-6 years experience in supply chain management
Excellent organizational, communication, influencing and collaborative skills
Strong analytical skills
Working knowledge of SAP R3, SAP APO, or another ERP required
Strong querying/database/spreadsheet applications skills desirable
Highly motivated and enthusiastic self-starter
Works independently under general supervision
Customer driven, experience with working with Sales teams
Communication skills: fluent in Dutch & English
