Establishes and leverages defensive measures and information collected from a variety of sources to identify, analyze, and report events that occur or might occur within Chevron assets to protect information, information systems, and networks from threats.
Job Title: Cyber Incident Response Analyst
This role supports the global cyber threat detection and incident response
This role leverages threat intelligence to proactively hunt for and response to external cyber threats.
The operational scope includes Chevron’s global network infrastructure, industrial control systems and information assets.
Duties and responsibilities
As a Cyber Incident Response Analyst, you will:
Carry out appropriate processes to contain and remediate cybersecurity incidents through coordination across the IT Function and Business Representatives
Perform forensic analysis of compromised hosts and develop an action plan for remediation
Examine potentially malicious files, with the goal of breaking down programmatic functions and techniques
Extract indicators of compromise to then feed detection capabilities as a means of continuous improvement
Participate in an on-call rotation in support of escalation activities outside of standard business hours
Previous experience performing incident response in a security operations center or equivalent cybersecurity organization
Hands on experience performing host and network digital forensics
Proven ability to coordinate assignments within a team setting, and communicate findings in both technical and non-technical content
Previous experience monitoring ICS / OT environment – a plus
Adept in incident response, digital forensics, and cyber threat hunting
Expertise in the identification of cyber-attack techniques
Experienced in reverse engineering of malicious code, with a familiarity of programming languages, scripting and coding techniques
Bachelor’s Degree in related fields a plus
Professional cybersecurity certifications
Security clearance level 3
Mainly Office environment in Herzliya
Full time position – working hours Sunday through Thursday 08:00-17:00 / 11:00-20:00
Up to 5 % Travel abroad
Up to 15% work on Offshore platforms
