Chevron Corporation Corporate Real Estate Category Manager in Houston, Texas
Chevron is accepting online applications for the Corporate Real Estate Category Manager position through 03, 31, 2023 at 11:59p.m. (Central Time).
The Corporate Real Estate Category Manager is responsible for supporting the development and execution of global and regional category strategies and providing category management support to business units across the Enterprise. The role is responsible for supply assurance, commercial assurance, and supplier performance assurance for the assigned Corporate Real Estate service lines and projects. This position will work with internal and external stakeholders to deliver commercial value in support of Chevron’s business objectives.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Category planning and analysis, gathering industry and benchmarking data, and identifying value chain opportunities for the global Corporate Real Estate Category and Design & Construction Projects.
Work closely with business partners, suppliers, legal, subject matter experts, and peers to efficiently develop strategies that maximize value of the Corporate Real Estate category.
Leads teams in medium to complex sourcing processes; formulates contract strategies and bid/sourcing documentation. Responsible for developing bid documents, contract negotiation strategies, bid evaluations and contract documents. Manage end-to-end sourcing process of gathering, validating information from business owners, suppliers and procurement peers required for contract formulation.
Develops negotiation plans, negotiates commercial and legal terms and conditions, and conducts quantitative comparisons of costs/pricing; evaluates impact on total cost of ownership (TCO) and recommends course of action. Collaborate and work directly with Legal, Tax and other subject matter experts, as necessary, on negotiated terms.
Responsible for completing appropriate technical and commercial analysis to procure a variety of services at the best overall conditions.
Leads contract formulation and guides business owners on transactions and trade-offs regarding compensation methods and spend channels, as well as ensuring comprehensive and well-written scopes of work. Determines applicable terms and conditions and educates business owners on implications in the contracting process.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, finance, or similar.
5+ years of demonstrated experience in Procurement Supply Chain Management disciplines of Category Management and Contracting.
Build Relationships: Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain positive internal and external strategic relationships.
Deliver Results: Demonstrated experience leading sourcing and contracting negotiation event to successful results that are aligned with strategic business objectives.
Align and Inspire: Strong communication skills. Set clear expectations and align on shared goals. Strong influencing skills and ability to remove barriers to deliver desired results.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree or Advanced certification in Procurement Supply Chain Management.
Experience in the Procurement Supply Chain Management support of Corporate Real Estate and/ or Design and Construction activities globally.
Demonstrated supplier relationship management experience. Utilizing supplier management processes and integrated performance scorecards to measure performance and continuous improvement.
Smart by GEP or eProcurement experience.

Please note that the compensation and benefits listed below are only applicable to successful candidates who are hired onto local United States payroll.
The anticipated salary range for this position is $128,400 – $221,900 .
