Chevron Corporation Mid- Career Talent Pipeline Development Advisor in Houston, Texas

Chevron is accepting online applications for the position Mid- Career Talent Pipeline Development Advisor based in Houston, TX or San Ramon, CA through 12/06/2021 at 11:59 p.m.

This position will be reporting to the Manager, Talent Pipeline Development. It will lead efforts to develop our mid-career leadership talent and facilitate their movement through talent pipelines.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:


  • Support creation of strategy to develop mid-career talent, including enterprise programs as well as other initiatives implemented throughout the business.

  • Integrate development of pipeline talent with enterprise leadership development at other levels

  • Partner closely with other groups, including Learning & Development, Corporate Affairs, Sponsor Organization, Corporate Strategy and senior leadership of each business segment in understanding needs

  • Identify external programs to complement suite of internal development offerings (e.g., university programs, conferences)

Program Administration & Management

  • Support in the execution of nominated leadership programs for managers in Chevron

  • Support in the execution of all aspects of the programs'' planning, design and delivery and provides work direction to support specialists for these programs as well as closely interacting and partnering with program facilitators

  • Executes supporting data analysis of target audience feeder pool for nominations, supports in establishing criteria for nominations based on input from Human Resources Committee and Learning & Talent Centre of Expertise

  • Coordinates assessments and analyzes data from assessments and trends from class profiles

  • Supports in the reviews of Program Evaluations for all current and new programs to determine if target training objectives and business needs were met

  • Supports in the continuous improvement in all programs


  • Coaches and mentors HR and Business on mid-career development options

  • Collaborates with other leaders within the Learning & Talent COE as well as talent management professionals in other functions, HR business partners, and senior leaders.

  • Provides guidance and support to talent program coordinators (indirect reports).

Required Qualifications:

  • BachelorĀ“s degree in Organizational Behavior/Development/HR or similar.

  • 7+ years applied experience in leadership development in a corporate setting.

  • Experience in shaping and leading strategic initiatives that involve significant culture change within a global organization.

  • Subject-matter-expert understanding of leadership development and instructional design principles.

  • Experience in leading through influence and managing diverse, global and multi-cultural stakeholders, and teams.

  • Experience in consulting and coaching to shape and reinforce behaviors of leaders, supervisors, and employees.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with Management at all levels in a variety of complex situations.

  • Ability to collaborate across organizations and form strong trusted relationships with senior leaders and key stakeholders; viewed as credible practitioner.

  • Proven ability to proactively develop innovative solutions to problems.

  • Effective change management and written/verbal communication skills; proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Outlook).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MasterĀ“s degree in related fields

  • Experience with or familiarity with Workday Talent modules.
