Chevron Corporation Retail Technology Field Specialist in Houston, Texas

The Retail Technology Field Specialist supports our retail technology vision through consistent and reliable implementation at branded fuels and lubricants locations in the US market. As the retail technology specialist for our Sales teams, they gain alignment with our channel partners to maintain brand standards and best practices in order to increase brand competitiveness.

This is a role that requires a balance of technical competency, brand program knowledge, and customer management skills.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Promote Chevron’s retail technology programs and standards through direct engagement with the Sales teams, branded Fuels and Lubricants marketers, branded Fuels retailers, and branded Lubricants customers that use Chevron’s site systems solutions in the U.S. market.

  • Support the POS (Point of sale) product owner’s strategy and roadmap by leading project workstreams as needed.

  • Primary escalation point for our non-COCO network to resolve issues that approved technology vendors have not been able to resolve in a timely or satisfactory manner, requiring collaboration with any related vendors and their authorized service technicians.

  • Develop processes, tools, and data flows to improve our retail technology support model, with an emphasis on process efficiency and the customer experience of our channel partners

  • Provide input on trends in retail technology, including opportunities to develop competitive advantages as well as challenges that need to be resolved in support of Chevron’s B2C and B2B strategies

    Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years of experience in energy, retail.

  • Demonstrated experience working closely with customers and internal stakeholders, focusing on common goals, offering suggestions and meeting commitments.

  • Relevant experience with Information Technology or related fields.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with the fuels business or retail technology is preferred

  • Project Management skills - ability to frame projects, develop and implement project plans, and use effective influencing skills to motivate others to complete deliverables.

  • Set clear expectations and align teams on shared goals and outcomes. Foster positive relationships and ensure inclusive treatment of others.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills – able to present your views and opinions clearly and concisely.

  • Team player with the ability to work well with multiple organizations.

    Relocation Options:
