Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Leading research and development efforts

  • Providing technical support to Major Capital Projects and solving complex problems

  • Developing Chevron specifications

  • Mentoring less experienced engineers

  • Management of technology development and oversight of qualification testing programs.

  • It is anticipated that both international and domestic business travel to locales with subsea operations will be required

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or related is required, such as Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering.

  • Minimum of 10 years oil industry experience directly related to flexible Pipe Design and Manufacturing.

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in flexible pipe cross section design, end fitting design, and flexible riser global configuration design.

  • Ability to perform high level and detailed flexible pipe design analyses, and develop functional design requirements and specifications.

  • Extensive experience with flexible pipe manufacture and installation process. Good knowledge of flexible pipe failure mechanism and integrity management.

  • Demonstrated fluency in industry standards in relation to flexible pipe design, qualification, manufacturing, inspection, and installation and offshore testing.

  • Experience on flexible supply and installation bid package preparation or evaluation.

  • In depth knowledge and experience in critical interfaces with subsea and topsides.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate degree is strongly desired.
