Cybersecurity Analytics and Reporting Solution (CARS) is an enterprise level data foundation providing integrated cyber reporting that provides visibility into the Cybersecurity landscape to improve decision quality and enhance risk intelligence for a diverse audience. The Visualization Support Analyst role performs as a technical analyst who engages with team members and business customers to address questions, solve problems and work on small enhancements delivering business intelligence and analytics visualizations in CARS. This is an area targeted for significant growth providing the opportunity to work with a variety of systems/teams.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Understanding the diverse source systems and the associated business processes so that CARS can provide visiblity into the current cybersecurity landscape, enhance risk intellegence and drive prioritization efforts through a data focused risk approach

  • Learn the fundamentals of our data-driven process and work with the team to develop visualizations that aid interpretation of cybersecurity data

  • Develop compelling visual stories to effectively communicate meaningful narrative insights from large-scale time-series data with a strong focus on the user experience

  • Be passionate about visualization as a means of business optimization and process transformation

  • Working in an agile design through a devops model

  • Ensure that all appropriate documentation is completed

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or equivalent, BA/BS preferred

  • 2+ years’ experience with data visualization methodology and concepts

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to work with developers, data scientists and customers to understand their challenges and help craft solutions that help them solve their toughest, most critical problems through visualizations

  • Build working relationships that contribute to the success of the solution as well as the business partner

  • Guiding and educating the consumers of reports so they’ll know what the report tells them, as well as helping them better understand their reporting and visualization needs

  • Experience with Analytics solution architecture and/or analytics solutions development

  • Experience with visualization concepts to deliver data in a meaningful way

  • Experience with visualization tools, i.e. Spotfire, PowerBI

  • Experience with data integration and data engineering is a plus

  • Experience working in an Agile framework is a plus

  • Demonstrated experience using BI visualization tools i.e. Spotfire, PowerBI

  • Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking and analytical skills to independently troubleshoot issues, suggest and implement changes, and deliver value to our business partners

  • Familiarity with design patterns

  • Understands the best type of visualization to be used to represent underlying data and metrics

  • Strong customer focus and ability to document

  • Knowledge of data integration and data engineering is a plus

  • Demonstrated experience using BI visualization tools i.e. Spotfire, PowerBI

  • Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking and analytical skills to independently troubleshoot issues, suggest and implement changes, and deliver value to our business partners
