Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Fuels & Lubricants B2B Business Consultant through June 17, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time).
Responsibilities for this position may include but not limited to:
Responsible for sales of B2B F&L and related services to various commercial & industrial segments within designated area.
Plan customer calls & visits to provide appropriate level of service to existing & new customers (including lubricants distributors and fuels wholesalers) with focus on retaining & expanding existing business relationship; Expand the business and profitability of accounts based on continuing need analysis.
Collect market information and implement promotion activities; Regularly provide business updates on competitors’ activities and related information to evaluate business opportunities.
Determines pricing based on total value proposition for customers.
Provide technical & business support to distributors and end-users; Accountable to build up and deliver the Customer Values Propositions at the highest level; Integrates technical with business knowledge to grow customer base.
Align with Chevron departments to service customer from product, logistic, financial, technical, marketing standpoint; Handle and resolve problems and complaints including channel conflicts.
Responsible for volume, net operating income (NOI), operating expense; Effectively manage credit of assigned territory.
Support growth of contribution to include volume growth and premium product advancement as well as cross & up selling.
Develop lubricants distributors and fuels wholesalers in the C&I space; Coach and train distributor sales force for competencies to deliver business plan.
Bachelor of Science degree holder (preferably in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, Business and Marketing)
4 – 5 years of sales experience in a multi-national company handling commercial and industrial segments would be an advantage (preferably oil industry)
Has high level of judgment and knowledge of the commercial and industrial market, resulting in finding and selecting high quality new accounts and growth prospects
Relevant experience in Solution-based/ Value-based selling or ability to sell products and solutions that specifically support customer strategy would be an advantage
Excellent skills of planning, analytical thinking and problem solving; Exhibits comprehensive account analysis skills, works to achieve significant profit contribution each year
Able to work independently to proactively anticipate and fulfill customer strategic needs and independently resolve complex customer concerns from large or national accounts
Good communication, negotiation and presentation skills; Proven competencies in speaking and writing in English in a business environment
Ability to drive and travel
