Position Summary:
Ensures Chevron compliance with respect to Anti-Corruption Laws, Lobbying Activity, International Trade, Conflicts of Interest, Competition Laws, NOJV Compliance (excluding audits), Data Privacy and Information Protection, and Compliance Process Administration.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Provides leadership and guidance to a team of compliance analysts within Eurasia to ensure that Chevron’s Corporate policies and procedures are deployed and sustained in a complete and effective manner across the Region.
Provides work direction, builds organizational capability and subject matter awareness amongst compliance professionals and stakeholders alike through delivery of compliance training and adhoc guidance and advice. Actively sought as a Subject Matter Expert to advise functional stakeholders to ensure business processes meet Compliance policy and procedural expectations.
Provides timely, well considered and accurate guidance to business stockholders in the application of compliance requirements to real-time business transactions and activities.
Manages relationships and effective interactions with business stakeholders and leadership teams, assists with the coordination of Compliance Committees, Risk Assessments, and Representation Letters.
Facilitates the resolution of matters associated with Business Conduct and Ethics Code, Investigations and other matters of sensitivity.
Supports Regional Compliance Manager in assessing and analyzing the Business’ compliance environment, identifying issues, making recommendations on corrective actions and ensuring those actions are implemented on a timely basis.
Required Qualifications:
Compliance and Business Knowledge – strongly demonstrates the ability to understand and convey the intent and meaningful application of compliance policies and procedures across business functions and activities. Interprets and applies concepts and compliance controls to business transactions. Understands, assesses, proactively identifies risks while providing timely guidance to business partners.
Leadership / Project Management – sets goals to achieve key objectives; acts with a sense of urgency and aligns resources to priorities. Energizes the team to be accountable for its deliverables and continually improve its performance. Balances multiple competing priorities and removes barriers to progress.
Communication - provides logical recommendations in a concise manner. Synthesizes complex topics and presents them to the audience at an appropriate level. Actively listens to ensure understanding. Comfortable delivering training and/or presentations to large groups, actively facilitates discussion in meetings.
Analytical Skills - applies subject matter expertise to recognize and resolve complex or ambiguous compliance issues. Analyses data and provides insights into investigative themes or root causes. Develops business mitigations in a balanced and fit for purpose manner. Effectively translates technical requirements into business process requirements.
Teamwork / Interpersonal - applies superior communication and influencing skills to achieve alignment in resolving issues. Solicits feedback, guidance and assistance from others as appropriate. Develops and leverages collaborative professional relationships and is sought by peers and stakeholders alike across multiple business functions and business segments. Delivers on commitments.
Initiative- Takes accountability and initiative to proactively share lessons learned and best practices within team and across business stakeholders and segments. Demonstrates tenacity in progressing department initiatives and consistently seeking to improve departmental impact, reach and processes.
