Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Lead, coordinate, and support executive communications for the president of international exploration and production, as well as a range of communication programs to help advance the reputation and culture in the region.

  • Translate business objectives, goals, and strategies into communications strategies, plans and tactics.

  • Collaborate and drive alignment to execute plans to support Chevron’s narrative and business priorities, support building organization capability, and support local business communications needs.

  • Create communication deliverables which may include key message development, executive letters, executive talking points, presentation development, webcast/video development, town hall/event coordination, materials development, and building and sustaining two-way communication between leadership and employees.

  • Support identification and development of 360 storytelling opportunities.

  • Track, measure, and analyze impact of communications activities to guide future communications and engagement tactics.

  • Embrace a growth mindset, be able to successfully navigate ambiguity and be comfortable working in an iterative way

  • Manage sensitive issues and material information with utmost discretion and calmly manage through crisis or unforeseen events

    Required Qualifications: 

  • 8+ years of experience in Communications, Public Affairs or related field

  • Demonstrate flexibility and have strong strategic, influence, project management, collaboration, and communications skills.

  • Extensive experience in message and program development, and a proven ability to coordinate complex programs.

  • Fluent in English, advanced ability to communicate clearly/concisely in written, verbal, and digital formats.

  • Strong knowledge of communications trends, approaches, and platforms. Demonstrated in-depth expertise in varying communications functions, including internal and external communications.

  • Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with teammates, clients, and partners. Work across a variety of teams and stakeholders to ensure timely two-way information flow and project execution.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop strategic communications plans for business and executives and execute against those plans. Able to identify and manage critical interdependencies and proactively resolve issues.

  • Proven track record of delivering exceptional finished products for high-profile assignments under tight deadlines.

  • Demonstrated ability to translate business objectives, goals, and strategies into communications strategies, plans, and tactics.

  • Ability to work with executives to establish effective communications strategies.

    Relocation Options: 

    Relocation will not be considered within Chevron parameters.
