Chevron Corporation Senior Tax Analyst in London, United Kingdom
Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Senior Tax Analyst located in London, Greater London UK through September 29, 2022 at 11:59 p.m.
Manages the UK Corporation tax returns preparation process (currently being outsourced to external advisers). The position will also support the Manager, Europe tax assess and implement new legislation in region and support tax planning projects.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Coordinate with internal finance and tax resources to provide analyses for UK CT returns preparation by external providers. This includes proposing claims and elections for internal approval.
Review UK tax forecast instalments payment calculations to identify and work issues to resolution.
Lead quarterly meetings with finance teams to identify, track and assist with the resolution of UK tax matters. This includes updating finance, tax and business teams of changes to UK tax legislation on substantive and admin matters. This includes leading project teams to work through implications for the UK business.
Prepare responses to HMRC information requests and complex audit enquiries, conducting own research and coordinating with external advisers to do so
Assist Manager, Europe tax and the Europe tax planning coordinator in the preparation of tax planning, acquisition, disposal, and re-organization projects.
Support tax management of group financing, including providing tax information for dividend planning.
Identify planning opportunities and brings them to the attention of Tax management.
Review tax clauses in contracts, including joint operating agreements.
Take the initiative to recommend new accounting/ tax processes
Qualified (Chartered) accountant and/or Chartered Tax Adviser
In-house or private practice Tax experience
Strong knowledge and experience on tax compliance, tax returns, and tax advisory
D emonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to changing business priorities
Relocation will not be considered within Chevron parameters.
Expatriate assignments will not be considered.
