Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Become proficient in the Workday products used in Chevron
Becomes the subject matter expert in Workday application related to one or more of the following products: Core HCM, Benefits, Compensation, Talent Management, Time and Attendance, Absence Management, Payroll, Security, Integration, and/or Analytics and Reporting
Provides daily operational support and incident troubleshooting to identify root causes and deliver solutions; detect and resolve problems, designing and implementing configuration changes and monitor application performance
Configures, customizes, and integrates Workday with other internal systems like SAP
Develops deep domain knowledge by understanding business processes
Understands business requirements and translates business needs into fit-for-purpose actionable plans
Participates actively in an integrated DevOps Team utilizing Agile methodologies with strong continuous improvement focus
Communicates and responds promptly to production issues and project work
Strong customer focus
Starts or maintains support documentations
Supports the software development lifecycle, and maintains IP Compliance on systems and software as appropriate
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience in IT consulting, HR Shared Services, or as an HR IT consultant
Experience in HRIS or Payroll system implementation is a plus
Experience working with Oracle HCM, SAP HCM, or Workday applications as a consultant or business analyst is a plus
Interest in technology and driven to learn IT skills is a must
Passionate with and knowledge of HR or Payroll processes is a must
Consulting experience either as an internal consultant or with a consulting/software company is a plus
Strong communication (written/verbal) and facilitation skills with solid ability to convey business and technical information to a diverse audience
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to engage difficulties with persistence
Self-directed, flexible, working with minimal supervision, takes initiative, displays a high degree of ownership and accountability
Ability to effectively deal with change and consistently maintain composure and logical thinking while under pressure
Organized and skilled at planning; ability to work from a high-level to a low level of detail and handle multiple assignments with varying priorities and deadlines
Experience/knowledge in Agile SAFe, Kanban and Scrum methodologies is a plus
