Reporting to the HR Manager Australia & Asia Operations, this temporary role will be based in Perth.
With a commitment to fostering an inclusive environment where all differences are valued and respected, this role will lead the team in delivering Chevron Australia’s diversity and inclusion programs, policies and strategies across the organisation. You will have a key influence in shaping our inclusive workforce behaviours and programs and connect broadly across the enterprise as a key leader within our HR function. The role is also responsible for the management of our Aboriginal employment and strategy as we continue to progress forward on our reconciliation journey.

Strategic advisor to Chevron Australia leadership and internal stakeholders on diversity and inclusion issues, policy matters and related business priorities to influence organisational outcomes.
Engages with external stakeholders and builds collaborative partnerships in a range of committees and industry working groups to enable outcomes.
Leads team in development and delivery of sustainable strategies, programs, policies and processes and manages associated budgets.
Responsible for the management and sustainable progress towards Chevron Australia diversity and inclusion goals and Reconciliation Action Plan milestones.
Establishment and monitoring of business metrics to measure the effectiveness of Education to Employment programs.
Works with key stakeholders (including internal to Chevron, education providers, government and non-government organisations) to investigate and facilitate partnerships that create long-term employment opportunities for Aboriginal people within Chevron Australia’s operations.
Commitment to health, environment and safety and Chevron best practices.
Key skills and experience required:
Minimum of 10 years’ experience within key leadership roles
Extensive experience in provision of strategic advice to senior leadership on a range of people and culture matters
Strong understanding of diversity and inclusion programs and how they contribute to the organisations’ overall success
Understanding of Aboriginal culture and experience leading initiatives to recruit, retain and develop Aboriginal talent
Proven ability to design and develop successful diversity and inclusion programs to support a fully inclusive workplace in line with our legislative, reporting and policy requirements
Extensive leadership and management experience including the management of diverse staff and ability to foster a high performing team culture
Proven ability to engage with broad range of internal/external stakeholders, representing Chevron Australia externally across all aspects of Diversity & Inclus.
Excellent communicator, ability to influence across all levels with strong consulting skills (influencing, written/verbal communication, facilitation, presentation, negotiation).
