Chevron Australia has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Subsea/Topsides Controls Integration Engineer to join the Technical Projects team. Reporting to the Technical Projects Manager, this permanent role will be based in Perth with occasional travel to site as required.
Key responsibilities include:
Oversee and technically support the interface between the Julimar Development Project – Phase 2 (JDP2) and Wheatstone Platform.
Provide Company oversight of the development of JDP2 subsea controls hardware and software and ensure compliance with Company standards
Lead the integration of the JDP2 operator’s subsea controls equipment onto the Wheatstone platform
Lead the controls commissioning of the integrated subsea/topsides system
Plan and execute transition to operations
Foster a safety culture and commitment to protecting people and the environment and demonstrate Chevron Way behaviours
Commitment to health, environment and safety and Chevron best practices
Key skills and experience required:
Instrumentation and Controls Engineering Degree or equivalent required. Minimum 15 years of experience designing, commissioning and supporting operating control systems within complex process facilities.
Demonstrated strong influencing, organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated value chain mindset and a track record of championing "One team" thinking, driving cross-functional collaboration in a multi-disciplinary team environment
Demonstrated ability to identify and build key relationships that contribute to high-class business results
Significant and broad experience as a subsea control systems engineer, with topsides/subsea control integration skills, demonstrated through the planning and delivery of brownfield modifications / greenfield projects
Preferred experience with “Yokogawa” controls, "One Subsea" controls and Wheatstone development standards
Demonstrated experience in in the application of facility design and construction, management of change, capital stewardship and operational excellence principles
Experience in providing technical oversight of vendors and offshore installation contractors
Experience in the development and execution of function test procedures (to demonstrate commissioning readiness), commissioning test procedures and start-up procedures
Experience in providing technical oversight of subsea equipment and controls vendors during commissioning and start-up
