HIGH LEVEL JOB DESCRIPTION/SCOPE:
The Salt Lake Refinery produces petroleum products for distribution primarily in Utah, Idaho, Washington, and Nevada. The Policy, Government & Public Affairs (PGPA) function for the refinery is responsible for state government affairs in UT and ID, internal and external communications, the implementation of our Social Investment budget (including Fuel Your School), providing PGPA support to our Marketing operation, and emergency response.
The PGPA Representative is responsible for internal and external communications, as well as the implementation of our Social Investment strategy. Based on prior experience and development need, the successful candidate may also be given opportunities to manage legislative and regulatory issues at the local and state levels in coordination with the PGPA Manager.
Bachelor Degree in Public Relations or related degree plan
Minimum of 7 years of of related work experience
Outstanding written communication skills, including the ability to use social media to generate reputational gains for Chevron.
Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement/Social Investment.
Ability to learn software used to request checks and budget for SI programs.
Ability to work independently on multiple projects.
- Masters in Public Policy or Professional Communication
