This position is with the Chevron Shipping Marine Transportation Department in the Fleet Technical Team and part of a team that is responsible for championing the use of the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) across Shipping (shore and on ships).
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
The SME is a point of contact for CSC’s CMMS users within the fleet both ship and shore side.
The SME participates in efforts to maximize effectiveness and extract value from CSC’s use of a CMMS tool.
The SME will provide help for Procurement, Finance, Oil and Gas Superintendents, Vessel Management Team (VMT), Inventory team, and Maintenance teams.
The SME also provides consulting to business process owners within Shipping to align process to system.
The role includes delivering user training programs, reports, and data cleaning, loading, and validating activities. Additionally, this role may help with Business Process Mapping, Optimization, and Analytics to assure growth and prosperity of the system.
This position will need to be proficient with SQL, SQL tuning, MS Access, and Oracle databases.
Understanding of equipment and how things are assembled is important in managing CMMS activities.
High School Diploma or equivalent
5 years’ experience working with Maximo
Maximo Knowledge & Analysis Skills - Collaborates with Procurement, Reliability, Vessels, MSG, Finance, IT, and Business Managers on system and process improvements based on tool configuration.
Help develop and update standard work processes and trains users with various levels of knowledge of the CMMS.
Create and update training scripts, user quick guides, and online help resources.
Maximizes effective use of the system through Best Practice sharing.
May be required to interact in enterprise level teams on the utilization requirements of the CMMS. Help develop, communicate, and maintain key reliability and management metrics from the CMMS.
Make updates to CMMS and supporting systems.
Help manage the CMMS Incident, Change Request, and Service Request processes.
Partnership - Interface and develop close working relationships with CSC IT and ITC support analyst as required.
Network with other CMMS users within Chevron to find potential alignment/best practices as needed.
Strong People and Communication Skills- Interaction with Fleet personnel to ensure the system supports CSC's agenda and business plan.
Document Change Management/Alteration Request processes and CSC practices so they may be repeatable and communicated.
Able to respond to end users in a simple, clear, and decisive manor while managing emotional intelligence to maximize communication.
Able to take minimum instructions and self-start on initiatives.
Able to work through priorities to achieve team goals and focus item which are set at the beginning of each year.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field
Exhibits knowledge of processes, practices, administrating, and supporting application activities. Candidate must be able to communicate at various levels of interaction including IT and Fleet personnel.
Relocation maybe considered within Chevron parameters.
