High Level Job Description/Scope:
This is an opportunity to be a part of a fast-paced team that collaborates with a variety of functions and departments, and with colleagues around the globe to provide direct communications support and counsel to select Chevron executives and corporate officers on a variety of issues facing the company and the industry.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Develops a variety of compelling internal communications content for select senior executives to engage Chevron’s 50,000+ employees to advance business priorities and objectives, and align and inspire the workforce. Communications content includes email and video messages, presentation materials, and other online digital content.
Collaborates to develop compelling communications in coordination with various stakeholders for external and internal use across all relevant channels that advance the company’s strategic business and reputational objectives.
Provides strategic counsel and executive coaching for senior executives on internal and external speeches, videos, social media, industry presentations and miscellaneous communications.
Supports the Manager, Upstream External Affairs, in managing the function’s overall project queue, including proactively identifying strategic speaking events, social media and stakeholder engagement opportunities, and strategically placing client executives in key industry and business forums.
Supports the involvement of senior executives on an internal social networking platform.
Provides project management support for internal executive engagements, including town halls, business unit visits and employee engagement events.
Bachelor Degree in Communications or similar degree plan
Strong knowledge of current communications trends, strategies, and platforms
Strong writing, organizational and project management skills
Demonstrated experience creating compelling digital content
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple high-profile assignments with exceptional finished products that deliver results
Proven track record of meeting and working under tight deadlines with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
Ability to thinking creatively and develop out-of-the-box ideas to extend communications reach and impact.
Demonstrated ability to build and leverage resource networks/partnerships internally and externally
Minimum 7 years of communications experience, preferably in corporate communications, public relations, politics, energy, technology, or manufacturing sectors
Experience supporting senior executives or politicians in a communications advisory role
Relocation may be considered within Chevron parameters.
Expatriate assignments will not be considered.
