Chevron Corporation Legal Analyst, Corporate Compliance in San Ramon, California
Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Legal Analyst, Corporate Compliance located in either San Ramon, CA or Houston, TX through May 19, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. (Pacific Time).
This position offers a unique opportunity within Corporate Compliance to provide legal analyst support in Investigations, General Compliance and Privacy. This position reports to the Managing Counsel for Investigations. The successful candidate must be self-directed, be able to work – and deliver – under tight deadlines, and must have the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
Work closely with investigations stakeholders (including Lead Attorneys, Business Partners, Global Security, Forensics, and Law & Data Applications) to support complex investigations.
Support the Investigations Group to manage preservation, data collection, data review, and production.
Conduct factual and legal research, including witness interviews.
Work closely with Compliance colleagues to provide general compliance support, including with contractor network access requests, review of compliance provisions in enterprise contracts, and support Compliance periodic reporting.
Work closely with Data Privacy Counsel and the Global Privacy Office to conduct privacy reviews/assessments, provide guidance in response to privacy inquiries received from the business, and provide incident management support for data privacy incidents.
Contribute analysis and develop solutions for complex investigations, compliance, and privacy matters.
Ensure appropriate and best use of Compliance tools and processes.

BA or BS degree.
Able to maintain confidentiality.
Able to analyze data and provide insightful analysis that illustrates key cause and effect, business and value drivers.
Able to effectively interact with team members and/or management, providing clear, logical and concise recommendations, to internal or external stakeholders.
Able to understand, assess, proactively identify issues and provide timely advice to business partners.
Able to maintain/develop effective relationships with peers, other departments and functions
Experience delivering trainings and/or presentations to large groups and demonstrated active engagement in discussions in a meeting setting.
Must be flexible on work schedule which is subject to operational needs and system coverage
Demonstrated capabilities that include:

Strong communications skills (both oral and written), including the ability to effectively analyze and communicate across broad functional and organizational lines.
Strong organizational skills, including good time management.
Paralegal certificate from an ABA approved program.
5+ years of law firm or in-house legal analyst experience.
Experience in litigation and/or investigations.
PowerPoint and SharePoint experience.
Project management skills.
Relocation will not be considered.
