Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Station Accounting Team Lead located in San Ramon, CA through April 15th, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. (Pacific Standard Time).

As a member of the Company Owned/Company Operated fueling stations Accounting Team, the Station Accounting Team Lead plays a critical role in providing accounting and system support to Chevron’s 300 company owned fueling stations, as well as several hundred independent retailer operated franchise locations.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Station Accounting and Back Office System (BOS) Leadership:
Leads team of five direct reports
Provides technical advice and guidance on corrective actions, proper procedures, and proactively identify/recommend improvements for system issues, EOD paperwork, Pricebook, inventory/audit issues and all store level processes supported by the BOS
Maintains system documentation and controls, ensures proper communication to Field personnel, Merchandising team, and customers
Review and analyze statistical reports to ensure timely and proper resolution of cases
Act as liaison to IT Support Groups and software vendor including communicating unresolved issues and other topics as needed
Data Analysis/Quality Assurance:
Compiles SalesForce case data, completes BOS issues trend analysis, and shares findings with the BOS Taskforce team (i.e., cross-functional team responsible for reviewing BOS issues, identify applicable solutions, and trend results of solutions to validate their effectiveness)
Prepare monthly BOS Dashboard and send monthly communication to all business and system end users for all 2 Class of Trades highlighting current issues, status, training opportunities and plans to further reduce the number of overall issues
Report out on data during scheduled CAB meetings
Act as subject matter expert, representing COCO Accounting, for all back-office system (BOS) release management cycles
Reviews Release Notes and Functional Specifications for new or changed functionality in the BOS
Manages testing activities and coordinates resources from business groups as appropriate
Creates test scripts (as needed), develops test plans, tests functionality to fully understand processes and validates that the system performs as described in the business requirements
Support testing team on escalated issues and reports failures to testing lead for corrective action
Ensure business processes are documented and communicated to all stakeholders impacted
Lead contact for COCO Accounting Team for all new projects related to BOS.
Manages special projects and process improvement initiatives which require collaboration with other cross-functional groups including IT, Operations, Sales, Merchandising and software supplier (as needed)
Assist in developing business requirements, review alternatives and work through design and implementation phases with IT support groups
Directs and utilizes team to support projects and process improvement initiatives
Develop project plans, determine resource needs, and conduct all change management functions impacting BOS business processes
Develop training materials to support project implementation and ensure all business process documentation is updated accordingly
A minimum of 3 years of either Accounting, Finance, or Retail Operations experience.
Intermediate Ms. Office level.
Back Office System experience
Strong teamwork skills
Excellent communication skills
Must be able to multi-task across functions, topics, projects and teams
Relocation will not be considered.
