Reporting to the Marketing Support Manager, the Brand & Card Marketing Lead manages a team of seven and is responsible for the overall performance for the Caltex Brand, Partnership and Loyalty portfolio performance for Singapore. This role also oversees the Card Operation and Credit support for the Singapore Starcard business and manages the in-country Call Centre.

Working closely with the local and regional teams, this role requires a high level of strategic thinking as he/she is instrumental in the shaping the Brand and Marketing strategies for the Singapore retail business.

Selected candidate should be adaptable to rapidly changing business environment and demonstrate strong problem-solving leadership abilities to ensure the cross functional team operates at a high level of productivity and creative excellence.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Maintains relationships with partners, media owners, vendors and agencies, lead commercial negotiations

  • Develops and implements comprehensive and integrated brand (advertising and promotions) and card marketing strategies to support the Singapore team in achieving desired sales and financial objectives

  • Works with Retail Systems and leverages on third party relationship/partnership with financial institutions, card companies, loyalty program provider, and advertising/ media agencies to provide differentiated and compelling advertising, promotions, card products and related services

  • Fosters good relations and positive support with PGPA, Global Lubricants and other stakeholders to capture cross-functional synergy opportunities

  • Management of creative, media and digital agencies

  • Responsible and accountable for the effective management of account receivables and to ensure credit policies and procedures comply with established policies

  • Ensures effective organizational capability with the function to carry out responsibilities. Identifies competency gaps and address through recruitment, training and development assignments to build capability

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field or equivalent practical experience

  • 10 years of work experience in brand and marketing, with proven track record of strategy and concept development

  • Strong communication, interpersonal skills

  • Strong negotiation skills

  • Demonstrated success working independently and as part of a team

  • Strong organization coordination people management skills

  • Strong business thinking, analytical, problem solving skills

  • Proven experience in promotional planning and execution

  • Understanding and compliance with local laws and regulations 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Industry experience working directly with financial institutions or retail partners

  • Strong communication skills in English and Mandarin as the role will involve Mandarin communication coordination and clearance with partners
