Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Develops and manages the miscellaneous additives strategy and plans for Asia Pacific & Greater China

  • Collaboratively works with global, regional and local stakeholders to implement the miscellaneous additive strategy and contracting plans to support the Lubricants’ growth plan

  • Performs category analysis, understands and monitors the market trends

  • Conducts sourcing and negotiations

  • Drives cost management initiatives and participates in direct spends projects with stakeholders and suppliers

  • Acts as primary procurement contact and manages all local direct spend contracts in non-plant locations

  • Provides Procure to Pay training as required and functional guidance to stakeholders to increase the procure to pay fluency in non-plant locations

  • Monitors procurement process compliance and works with relevant stakeholders to close any gaps identified

  • Supports Category Manager - Asia Pacific, Directs in the sourcing and gathering of market intelligence information for new packaging requirements by stakeholders in Asia Pacific and Greater China

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree holder preferably in Chemical/Business related fields

  • Minimum 5 years' of regional procurement experience in petrochemicals or manufacturing environment

  • Experience in category management and strategy planning with proven track record in supplier and contract managment

  • Strategic procurement experience such as RFP knowledge and index pricing

  • Possess strong negotiation and analytical skills

  • Strong results-oriented mentality with focus to drive cost/value initiatives

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with project management experience

  • Good communication skills in mandarin both oral and written to liaise with suppliers and counterparts in China

  • Must be able to travel regionally as required (20%)
