Chevron Corporation Application Engineer - Retail Operation in United States

Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Application Engineer - Retail Operation.

This position supports the software development lifecycle for software solutions, with a primary focus on maintaining vendor software and optimizing evergreen support through configuration, automation, and integration.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Debugs and fixes errors by applying basic programming concepts & patterns.

  • Applies in-depth knowledge of business domain to develop and enhance business workflows.

  • Builds and supports low code solutions.

  • Manages and automates application testing suites.

  • Participates in moving software from test to production status under software engineering principles.

  • Has experience in Agile Framework, Scrum, and DevOps.

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong communication (written/verbal) and facilitation skills with solid ability to convey business and technical information to a diverse audience

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to engage difficulties with persistence

  • Self-directed, flexible, working with minimal supervision, takes initiative, displays a high degree of ownership

  • Ability to effectively deal with change and consistently maintain composure and logical thinking while under pressure.

  • Organized and skilled at planning. Ability to work from a high-level to a low level of detail and handle multiple assignments with varying priorities and deadlines.

  • Experience/knowledge in Agile SAFe, Kanban and Scrum methodologies is a plus.

  • Knowledge in two or more of the following is a plus : Power Apps, C#, C++, SQL, Ansible, Azure, APIs, Web services(WCF and/or RESTful services), SQL, among others.

    • Knowledge in mobile application development tools is a plus: Swift, Kotlin and React Native.

    Relocation option:

    Relocation will not be considered within Chevron parameters.

    Expatriate assignments will not be considered.
