Chevron Corporation OE/HES Specialist - Environmental in United States

Manages the implementation and sustainability of the Managing Safe Work Process (MSW), including the associated corporate required OE standards (e.g. Confined Space Entry). Also, manages and prioritizes work related to the Contractor Health Environment and Safety Management (CHESM) process and the Motor Vehicle Safety (MVS) process.

Job Responsibility:

  • Identify environmental regulatory requirements including management, monitoring, and reporting for waste, water, air, noise and other aspects.

  • Stay abreast of new and upcoming environmental regulations and ensure operations is aware of their implementation dates and how they will affect operations.

  • Evaluate waste treatment facilities for compliance with company specific requirements.

  • Manage hazardous waste storage area and make sure hazardous waste are stored properly.

  • Manage hazardous waste transferring to waste treatment facility.

  • Provide guidance on industrial / hazardous waste related issues.

  • Complete the required internal and regulatory waste reporting.

  • Lead and provide guidance in implementing environmental processes.

  • Work together with Technical team to get Precursor Chemicals registered.

  • Responsible for Environment Risk Management Process (ERMP)

  • Responsible for including environmental stewardship improvement opportunities in business planning cycles.

  • Responsible for implementing the Corporate Environmental, Social and Health Impact Assessment (ESHIA) Process.

  • Responsible for meeting the Requirements in the Corporate HES Property Transfer (HES PT) Standard.

  • Responsible for developing and maintaining the Environmental Aspect and Impact register up to date.

  • Responsible for developing and maintaining the Environmental Section of HES compliance register up to date.

  • Establish and maintain chemical register and SDS mainly for the chemicals used in the plant.

  • Responsible for ISO 14001 certification, and support on ISO 9001/ 45001 etc.

  • Perform OE/HES process self-assessment and make continual improvement plan.Any other tasks assigned by supervisor

Requirement:

  • Bachelor Degree and above, preferably environment engineering or related background

  • 3-5 years working experience in environment management

  • Familiar with Chinese HES regulatory and requirements

  • Demonstrated ability in hazardous waste management

  • Possess good interpersonal skills; and able to work well with others in achieving team’s goals

  • Experiences in building / maintaining environmental management system is preferred
