Chevron Australia Downstream is seeking to appoint an experienced Senior Pricing Analyst who will be responsible in proactively assessing and monitoring market conditions to seek and capture maximum available gross margin by learning from competitor behaviors and costumer reactions, and seeking opportunities to increase profitability. Reporting to the Team Lead, Pricing, this exciting opportunity will be based in Brisbane with occasional domestic travel.

Responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to:

  • Work with Fuels Pricing Team Lead to develop and drive Market Relevant Pricing Strategy and positioning.

  • Recommend strategic price moves to maximize revenue in alignment with business plan objectives.

  • Execute pricing activities within the country, as well as meetings with Governments and other external and internal customers.

  • Ensure accuracy of data and pricing conditions.

  • Provides recommendation to the District Managers and Business Consultants on price setting, guidance to be given to Sales teams in managing margins, addressing channel conflicts, maximizing margin across the supply chain and analytical support for major tenders and projects.

  • Monitors performance of sales channels and key accounts to understand business drivers, identify opportunities and initiate improvement actions.

  • Provide ongoing insight to stakeholders – distinctly communicating performances, trends, and forecasts.

  • Execute Regional Chevron pricing processes.

  • Adoption of Chevron Digitization Pricing Analytics to drive data-driven pricing decisions

  • Vets New to Industry and New to Chevron service station economics, ensure alignment to Growth trajectory and meets performance KPIs expectations.

  • Joint accountability with in-country VCO teams to maximize margins across the supply chain and implement VCO processes (i.e. Product Clearance, ECOPE, Demand Forecasting, etc)

    Knowledge, skills and experience:

  • A tertiary qualification in business, marketing, or finance (preferred)

  • Experience in pricing and financial modeling

  • Very proficient in MS Excel, Power BI and data analytics

  • Intermediate knowledge of SAP ideal

  • Strong communication skills and stakeholder relationship management

  • A high level of teamworking ability and time management skills

  • Strong business and financial analytical skills

  • Performance driven, self-motivated and solution orientated
